Brushy Peak was incredibly active this weekend. Around the peak, 6-8 red tailed hawks could be seen at the same time. But an odd interloper stood out amongst the crowd: A bald eagle! However, upon closer inspection it appears this eagle may have Long-Billed Hawk syndrome.
Have days watching PBS nature shows and the BBC’s Planet Earth left a longing for the Serengeti plains? Just to the north in Santa Rosa, giraffes and cheetahs live tucked away from the bustle of the Bay. Be prepared to see animals on this safari. Lots of animals!
